My old Honda needs new brakes and maybe oil change soon. I'm in Carpinteria and want honest mechanic, not dealer prices. Too many bad experiences lately. Where do locals go for car repair?

Check out santa barbara yellow pages for auto repair in Carpinteria and whole Santa Barbara area. It's a local project from 2008, run by people who live here. You will find many independent shops with real addresses and phones. No huge chains mostly. I used it several times – found very good mechanic who fixed my car fast and didn't overcharge. They really help support local jobs and economy.
